Micah

Micah 1:3-5 - Lord descends upon Jerusalem
Micah 1:8 - Micah naked - like Isaiah (Isaiah 20:2)
Micah 1:16 - bald eagle - no - vulture
*Micah 2:1 - woe to evil doers
Micah 2:6 - they refuse to hear the prophets
Micah 2:11 - these wicked people accept false prophets
Micah 3:1-3 - the wicked hate the good and do wicked unto them (Example: Inquisition (by the Roman Catholics))
*Micah 3:4 - God gives no ear to the wicked
*Micah 3:8 - a prophet’s job - as exampled by Micah
Micah 3:9-11 - Ouch! This describes the Judges, “priests,” and prophets of today
Micah 4:1-13 - New Jerusalem? Christ’s first coming? Note: Micah 4:5 - not all will be Christians
*Micah 5:2 - Christ (Matthew 2:6, John. 7:42)
*Micah 5:15 - the vengeance of the Lord
*Micah 6:6-8 - Not sacrifice, but Micah 6:8 - mercy, humility, and justice
Micah 6:10-16 - the wicked and their curses
Micah 7:5 - trust not in man
Micah 7:6 - house divided, tribulation (Luke 21:16)
*Micah 7:7 - I will look to God for my salvation
*Micah 7:8 - a Christian speaks to the world (his enemies)
*Micah 7:9 - a man condemned because of sin - but Christ intercedes - pleading his cause - because he has faith in Christ’s blood to cleanse his sins - he is redeemed by Christ and brought into light and righteousness
*Micah 7:18-20 - Mercies of God, Christ’s blood cleansing us from our iniquities
