III John

Jn 1:3-4 - The Apostle John rejoiced greatly, and had no greater joy, than to hear that his children walk in the truth - because the truth is very important.

Jn 1:5-6 - John tells Gaius he has done faithfully to brethren and strangers by showing charity (love). The brethren and strangers bore witness of this before the church.

Jn 1:9-10 -Diotrephes loved preeminence, and he prated against the brethren with malicious words; He did not only fail to receive the brethren, but he also forbiddeth those who would have and casteth them out of the church. Diotrephes is an example of one who follows that which is evil.

Jn 1:11

Jn 1:12 - Demetrius is an example of one who follows that which is good.
